Ingredients
Apple Filling:
8medium Applespeeled & cut into 1" chunks, ½" thick
100g(½ c)Dark Brown Sugar
30g(¼ c)All Purpose Flour
1 tspCinnamon
½tspNutmeg
¼tspClove
¼tsp Salt
Brown Sugar Crumble
120g(1 c)All Purpose Flour
150g(¾ c)Dark Brown Sugar
1tspCinnamon
113g(½ c)Vegan Buttercold
Vegan Vanilla Ice Cream & Caramel Sauce for serving
Instructions
Prepare your space: Preheat oven to 350℉. Lightly grease a 9x13" or a 4 qt baking dish. Use glass or ceramic, not metal.
Apple Filling: Mix and toss together all filling ingredients in a large bowl or right in the baking dish. Make sure apple chunks are all coated with the brown sugar spice mixture. Spread out into an even layer.
Brown Sugar Crumble: Whisk together the flour, brown sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
Cut in the cold, vegan butter into the dry ingredients with a pastry cutter or fork, until very crumbly.
Sprinkle crumble over the top of the apple filling. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until golden brown and filling is bubbling.
Cool about 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with vegan vanilla ice cream and vegan caramel sauce (optional).
