- Vegan Butter — Adds a delicious, buttery flavor to the brown sugar crumble
- Salt — Brings out the flavors
Tips for the Best Vegan Apple Crisp

For the most flavorful apple crisp, use a mix of tart and sweet apples, like Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, Envy, Gala, or Fuji — this creates a balance of sweetness and tang. Make sure to toss the apple chunks evenly with brown sugar spice mixture. For extra crunch, consider adding chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts to the crumble topping. If you’d like to make it gluten-free, simply swap the flour for a gluten-free 1:1 blend. Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to five days and can be reheated in the oven or microwave for a warm, cozy treat. Serve with vegan ice cream or a drizzle of vegan caramel sauce for the ultimate autumn indulgence.

How to Make Vegan Apple Crisp
Making vegan apple crisp couldn’t be simpler. Start by preheating your oven and chop your apples — aim for 1″ chunks. Toss the apples with brown sugar, spices and flour. For the topping, mix dry ingredients together, cut vegan butter in until crumbly. Sprinkle mixture over the apples and bake until crisp and golden.
